Triumph & Defeat

Sorry the posts have been scarce lately. Been busy.

BAND STUFF : Everytime we take one step forward, we take two steps backwards. Cody cut his finger at work today, pretty badly might I add. So no practice for a few weeks while it heals, what a bummer. This puts a huge damper on the writing process, but we have ways around it.
We have a show June 8th with Caravels and Treez! that'll be an awesome show.

I'm working on the artwork for the new Anthems cd. I have some idea's that I really think can translate well on to paper. We'll see how things work. I also have a few names for the new cd. I really hope that things turn out well.

My next major purchase is going to be a video camera I think. Then, who knows. I don't have much to save for since our tour got delayed 'till the release of the CD. We're going to be doing 10 days or so with At Half Mast, should be a fucking blast; I can't wait!

Work Stuff : Things are good, I like my job and it seems like my managers / co-workers are a fan of me. It feels nice. The money is nice too, haha.

Friend Stuff : I don't know about that haha. My friends are awesome, I've grown closer to the kids in my band and I see them a lot more than I used to. It's nice.

Till next time!

Makeout Bandit..

Holy shit, it's summertime in Vegas. IT'S SO HOT OUT!

My job is going well, except the heat. I mean.. it has it pro's for sure.. like I have lost 10lbs in like 2 weeks haha.

Other than that, Anthems starts writing tomorrow.
I've been doing Immunity designs / business stuff with Shane.

That's it really. Xbox Live rules, I like making tips at work haha.

immunity.

What an exciting week!
I'm stoked to say that ANTHEMS has officially signed with Cavity Records. We should have a full length out late september.
We decided to stay as a four piece, it's a good decision. We know what we want to do and we are all on the same page. We don't have to worry about other people.

Immunity Clothing will be up and running soon. Shane and I are going to get things started back up. He had some money to spend so we are getting a printing press. FUCK YES.

I got an Xbox360. I rented GTA IV and i've been playing it online. ITS SO DOPE. No joke!
Add my gamertag - immunity x x x
If it's not me, its Tash, yeah.. we share!

Work was slow last week, got sent home early on saturday. But it was cool cause my mom and i spent the day together, we cooked and went grocery shopping.

There is a new addition to our household.. A KITTY!! She's so cute! Our big kitty is a little jealous, but she is slowly getting used to it.

That's all for now. I'm gonna grab a coke and play games with Tash!

Kick And Scream

I'm back from my trip, I'm going to do my best to recap in detail, so bear with me if it gets a little long.

So Tash' graduation went pretty smooth. I was proud to say the least.

Afterwards we grabbed some $5 footlongs, then headed to CA. We made it to Chain Reaction right as the rest of the guys did. We loaded in, and I hung out at merch while everyone else did their own thing.
My cousin came down to hang out and talk for a little, which was cool. I haven't seen him since the turn of the millenium, so it was nice to catch up. I guess the family out in CA thinks I'm some drugging, boozing, loser. Which makes me feel great. /sarcasm.

We played at like 9:30. 2nd song into our set, Freddi's bass goes out, so there are about 5 minutes of idle conversation I have to make. It felt uncomfortable. Not many kids were watching, but people enjoyed it. We had a blast and the rest of the set went well.
After the show Tash and I grabbed a hotel room. We ate at Rally's(Checkers, depending on where you are from) and just crashed out watching T.V.

Sunday we had a show in Bakersfield. We were all supposed to meet up in Long Beach to eat at Roscoe's Chicken And Waffles, but things didn't go as planned so Tash and I flew solo. Great food!
We hung out in Long Beach for a while, on the pier. It was a nice get a way.

Bakersfield sucked. The show sucked, and we got our cymbals stolen. Long story short, we met some kids who knew the kid who took them. Three hours later the cymbals show up. Fuck that city.

I don't feel like posting anymore right now, maybe I'll finish the trip update later / tomorrow.

"we drove into a great sunset, and lived a life of no regret"

So Thursday was our first show. We played well, a bit sloppy, but pretty well over all. My friends got me a few small surprises, it was appreciated.
We packed up the van and left for Whittier yesterday. We hit the road about 2:30 pm (an hour later than we had hoped) and had a great ride. No problems. The venue was decent. I'd say about 90-120 kids came out. It was a madhouse. No air conditioning at all. All you had to do was walk 5 steps and you would break a decent sweat. Molotov did really well. Tiefighter killed it, and we played really well too even though we ended up headlining.

Headlining didn't really bother me, it was all the miscommunication I think. Nobody was on the same page so the entire show just kind of seemed like a cluster fuck. Looking back though, I wouldn't change a thing. Sure, a lot of kids left after Tiefighter.. But the kids who wanted to stay for us, went the fuck off.

It's cool talking to people about the things you are trying to accomplish with your band, and to have those people "get" you. Weird.

I finally got to sleep at about 1:30 this morning, after a traditional stop at Villas, a small Mario Kart sesh, and some bullshitting. Slept in the van, it was alright. Woke up at 5am, got donuts with Cam and then he dropped me off at L.A.X.

I'm back in Vegas now, I'm going to Tash's graduation now with Nancy (who picked me up from the airport.) Then back to L.A. to play Chain Reaction.

You can check it out online!
